Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD)

The Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) initiative began in 2003 with a meeting in Stockholm, Sweden where a group of donors adopted a set of 23 Principles and Good Practice of Humanitarian Donorship. As described by the donors, GHD "provides both a framework to guide official humanitarian aid and a mechanism for encouraging greater donor accountability."

The Humanitarian Response Index (HRI) is being developed to present an assessment of donor performance in relation to the GHD Principles.
