Dear Colleagues,

Please find attached, for your comments, a very initial draft terms of reference for the NGO coordination support office (NCSO - a proposed name, for now). As you may recall (from our message of 29 January 2010), ICVA's Policy Officer, Manisha Thomas, is currently in Haiti to help set up an NGO coordination support function along with InterAction colleagues.

We would ask that you kindly circulate these draft TORs to your colleagues in Haiti for us, please, as we are still working on developing a complete contact list of NGOs here. (OCHA has indicated that they will help us with compiling such a list).

For those of you with local/national NGO partners, we would be particularly grateful if you could pass these draft TORs to them, as well as providing us with their contact details so that we can follow up with them directly.

We would greatly appreciate any comments/suggestions that you may have on the draft TORs and would ask that you please send those directly to or call her at +509 3817 0198. (I am currently sitting in the OCHA IM tent at the UN Logs Base, in case your colleagues would like to drop by.)
